iCity deal secures future of last remaining Olympic venue

The Mayor of London and the London Legacy Development Corporation announced today that the future of all eight permanent venues on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park have been secured, following the signing of a deal with iCITY for the Press and Broadcast Centres.

UEFA brings the 2013 Champions Festival to Stratford

The annual UEFA Champions Festival will take place in London on 23–26 May 2013, it was formally announced today.

The free four-day football celebration, featuring a series of family-friendly activities, will be the first major event to come to the home of the 2012 London Olympics since last summer, taking place on The International Quarter close to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

West Ham United are the first ranked bidder for the Olympic Stadium

Today the London Legacy Development Corporation’s Board unanimously agreed that West Ham United’s bid for a concession to play at the Olympic Stadium should be ranked highest of the bids received, and that negotiations should be held with the club on final commercial terms for them to move to the stadium.
